Reflective Universe

Nature in the wild provides important feedback as part of what we call the reflective universe, a field of interactions that mirrors our consciousness in the physical world. In the interactions of the material world, we are able to see and feel boundaries – only to bounce off them as a reminder of our limits. The result is a personal microcosm and a global macrocosm of continual feedback about how we think and act – and its consequences. This can be seen, for example, in how we treat one another or in the way we address environmental concerns. While the splendor of physical nature is impressive, it is dwarfed by comparison to spiritual nature.

We suggest that all things in the universal field are interconnected – a reality supported by quantum physics. This relatedness also exists in the spiritual dimension as well. Who we seem to be is not an isolated unit separate from others, but an intrinsic part of a vast network of unified consciousness. The understanding that we are all connected makes the fact that we still want to pursue wars against one another all the more bizarre. These ”others” turn out to be ”shadows” of ourselves in this reflective universe. The only way we can live this contradiction is to deaden ourselves emotionally and spiritually.
